Volunteers will be asked to be available for various time slots from Sunday, August 3 at 9am through Sunday, August 11 at 6pm to help out with set up, during the conference, and clean up afterwards.  It can be intense at times but overall pretty fun. All volunteers usually have a strong interest or background in dance or somatics (although this is not required) so you can get to know some colleagues as well as network. In return, BMCA can offer you free or discounted entrance to the pre, main, and post conferences (depending on availability and time slot) and a t-shirt and tote bag. Some things you will be doing are: putting together registration packets, working with the presenter facilitators to prepare the workshop rooms, helping presenters in between workshops, and answering questions from conference participants.

TIME SLOT NO. 1 -- TUESDAY, August 6, 8am-5pm to WEDNESDAY, August 7, 8am-2pm (2 spots available)
Free entrance to pre-conference workshop, Tuesday, August 6, 2-5 pm and Wednesday, August 7, 9 am-12 noon
Discounted rate of $350 to main conference

Tasks:

• Help with set up of registration area, silent auction, merchandise.
• Answer arriving conferee questions, assist with directions, recommendations, conference info on Tuesday afternoon  and Wednesday from 12-2 pm.

TIME SLOT NO. 2 -- MONDAY, August 5, 9 am-6 pm and WEDNESDAY, August 7, 8 am to SATURDAY, August 10, 2 pm (6 spots available). All volunteer days end at 6 pm or earlier.
Free entrance to the main conference.
Attend post-conference, if you choose, for $100

Tasks:

• Work with staff to set up (arrange tables, put together conference registration packets, small local errands, etc) and learn technology for a presentation studio on Monday, August 5.
• During conference: Monitor a presentation studio during breaks in workshops, make sure next presenter is all set and help troubleshoot by finding appropriate staff member to assist.
• Answer arriving/departing conferee questions, assist with directions, recommendations, conference info.
• Miscellaneous small tasks that arise---helping out staff for smooth running of conference.
• Guaranteed attendance at all main conference workshops and performances.

TIME SLOT NO. 3 -- SATURDAY, August 10, 8 am to SUNDAY, August 11, 6 pm (3 spots available)
Free entrance to the post-conference with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Saturday, August 10, 2-5 pm and Sunday, August 11, 9 am-12 noon.
Discounted rate to main conference of $350
Free T-shirt and tote bag
Tasks:

• Help staff with check-in and departure of post-conference attendees and departing main conference attendees: answering questions, providing directions, assisting staff.
• Help staff with packing and clean up after the post conference.
• Miscellaneous minor tasks
